Project Overview.
Flow Management partners with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) to deliver free, volunteer-led tax clinics for low-income individuals, students, and newcomers in Hamilton. As the cost of living continues to rise, many individuals and families face difficult financial trade-offs, including whether to pay for tax preparation or prioritize essential needs such as food, rent, or transportation. From March to June, our clinics remove this barrier by providing no-cost, trusted support to help participants file accurate tax and benefit returns. Filing taxes is more than an administrative task—it is often the gateway to critical income supports, including tax credits and government benefits that can significantly improve financial stability.
By easing financial stress and ensuring access to entitled benefits, our tax clinics help individuals and families keep more of what they earn and move toward greater financial security.

Why This Service Matters?
For 60% of Canadians living paycheck to paycheck, timely tax returns are crucial for financial stability. Unfortunately, high filing costs, limited accessibility, and confusing tax forms prevent many from filing on time. This leads to nearly 30% of eligible taxpayers missing out on essential benefits and credits when they need them most. By offering this service, we aim to break down these barriers, providing a reliable and accessible solution to help individuals navigate the tax process and secure their financial well-being.
